Julie S. Hamilton
Superintendent of Holbrook Public Schools
Julie Hamilton was born and raised in Holbrook and has been a proud member of the Holbrook Learning Community since 1997. Throughout her successful 20 year career in the Holbrook Public Schools, Mrs. Hamilton has served in many roles from Title One paraprofessional, special education teacher (inclusion & sub separate), elementary school teacher (grades 4-6), lead teacher, assistant principal, and principal of the South School. Under Mrs. Hamilton’s leadership, as principal, the South School was added to a short list of schools titled, the Most Commendable Schools in Massachusetts-a list complied by Governor Deval Patrick! In the summer of 2013, Mrs. Hamilton was appointed to Director of Curriculum Prek-12 and in the late fall of 2013, she was named Assistant Superintendent of the Holbrook Public Schools; a position that she held until recently being named superintendent on July 1st. Hamilton is a member of many professional committees and associations including the Holbrook Permanent School Building Committee, M.A.S.S., Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development (ASCD) and the Holbrook Cooperative Bank Advisory Council.
Mrs. Hamilton earned her undergraduate degree from Stonehill College in the spring of 1995. From 2001 to 2003, Mrs. Hamilton earned a Masters Degree in Education from Bridgewater State University and earned her license in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities, PreK-9). In 2006, Hamilton went on to earn her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University and she is currently working towards finishing a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University. Hamilton is eager to assume her new role and continue working closely with staff and stakeholders to set high standards for all students, student achievement and for programming with in the Holbrook Public Schools.
School Business Administrator for Holbrook Public Schools
Patricia Lugo is a native of southern Connecticut. Ms. Lugo earned her B.S. in Financial Accounting from the University of New Haven and went on to earn her Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State College. Lugo currently
Serves as a Member for the Mass. Association of School Business Officials and is a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official. Ms. Lugo holds licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a school business official and oversees the financial management, food services and busing for the Holbrook Public School district. Ms. Lugo has participated as a member of new school construction committees in 2 different districts and currently serves on the Permanent Building Committee in Holbrook. In past experience, Lugo worked in private corporate accounting for 14 years, in the Brockton Public Schools for 12 years, served as business administrator in Mashpee, East Bridgewater and Malden Public Schools before coming to Holbrook Public Schools-a combined 22 years in the MA public schools! Ms. Lugo is always proud to serve and support the public schools!
Director of Technology for Holbrook Public Schools
Jorge holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University, and is a Certified Google Administrator. Mr. Gonzalez has extensive experience integrating technology in educational, clinical, and vocational programs in several different countries. He has developed databases, devices for neurophysiological measurement, and electronic psychological tests for the University of Mexico, where he won the Gustavo Baz Prada, a national award for social services. In 1998, Jorge earned a Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology, focusing on the development of computerized technologies to facilitate the administration of schools with rehabilitation programs. He was awarded an international internship at the May Institute in Randolph Massachusetts, where he published multiple different technological developments in international academic journals. In 2006, Jorge founded the Behavioral Science Association, a nonprofit organization that provided schools and other educational programs with technical support for their operations. Mr. Gonzalez has been with us since the spring of 2016!
IT Specialist for Holbrook Public Schools
Melissa Linskey is the new Informational Technology (IT) Specialist for Holbrook Schools. She is a recent graduate of Curry College where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and was named Salutatorian. Melissa is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity at Northeastern University. She looks forward to helping the students and faculty with the new technology systems and devices being deployed for the 2017-2018 school year!
FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
Michael Bolger Jr.
Director of Maintenance & Facilities for Holbrook Public Schools
Mr. Bolger completed his under graduate work at Bridgewater State University and earned his Master’s Degree in Facilities Management from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2013. In past experience, Michael owned and operated his own successful painting company before joining the Brockton Public Schools where he worked in the facilities department for 8 years. Mr. Bolger has been our Director of Maintenance and Facilities since August, 2013 and formerly served as Athletic Director in the HPS. Mr. Bolger is a member of the Holbrook Permanent School Building Committee.
OFFICE OF CURRICULUM, INSTRUCTION & ASSESSMENT
Director of Curriculum PreK-12 for Holbrook Public Schools
Stefanie DeRosa is the Director of Curriculum PreK-12 for the Holbrook Public Schools. Ms. DeRosa also serves as the Title I Director and English Learner Education Coordinator. Stefanie has worked for the district for the past 17 years. Her past positions include Co-Principal, Humanities Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Classroom Teacher, Enrichment Teacher/Librarian, Title I Reading Teacher, and Special Education Teacher. Stefanie earned her under graduate degree in Special Education and Psychology from Bridgewater State College, an M.Ed. in Reading from American International College. DeRosa also earned a CAGS in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New England.
JOHN F. KENNEDY ADMINISTRATION
Principal of the John F. Kennedy School
Mrs. Stevens did her undergraduate work at Stonehill College and earned a Masters of Education Degree in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities, PreK-8) from Bridgewater State University. She also holds a C.A.G.S. in Educational Leadership through AIC. Mrs. Stevens started her career as a classroom teacher in the Holbrook Public Schools. She served as the Assistant Principal at South School for the 2012-2013 school year while also collaborating on many curriculum and technology teams during her years in Holbrook. Mrs. Stevens became the principal of the South School in 2013 and was the Lead Principal of the South School and John F. Kennedy School this past year. Mrs. Stevens is looking forward to uniting the two elementary schools and continuing to work with the students, families, and stakeholders of the John F. Kennedy Elementary School.

Ms. O'Donoghue has a wide range of experience in education. Over the past fifteen years she has held various teaching positions spanning from first grade through fifth grade. Ms. O'Donoghue has also recently held curriculum and administration positions in the Woburn Public Schools. Ms. O'Donoghue is enthusiastic and eager to contribute her energy and knowledge to the continued success at JFK.
HOLBROOK MIDDLE HIGH SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION
Interim Principal, Holbrook Middle High School
Ms. Stevenson joined the Holbrook Public Schools last October as an Assistant Principal at (the former) HJSHS and STEAM Coordinator for the district. She spent the first couple of months of employment covering for Mrs. Stevens, Principal of the South School while she was on maternity leave. This experience gave Ms. Stevenson the opportunity to meet students and staff across all three buildings while working at each of the schools.
Ms. Stevenson has been in education for over 20 years. She firmly believes that an open partnership between school and home is essential. Ms. Stevenson began her career as a middle school math and science teacher and taught in a few school districts around the globe. Before joining the Holbrook team, she held various roles such as teacher, Technology Integration Specialist, Dean, Associate Principal, Principal, and Director of Technology. Ms. Stevenson looks forward to working closely with staff to ensure that students receive a high quality, rigorous and positive educational experience.
Assistant Principal, Holbrook Middle High School
Mrs. O’Driscoll is no stranger to the folks at Holbrook Middle High School. Shannon has been a part of our Holbrook Public Schools Learning Community since 2000 where she started as a teacher in the social studies department. Shannon completed her undergraduate work at Merrimack and attended UMass Boston for graduate school. Mrs. O’Driscoll also served as department head for social studies prior to joining the administrative team. Shannon has served as the school’s assistant principal for the past 5 years.
Athletic Director/Phys. Ed Teacher, Holbrook Middle High School
Mr. Case was hired as a teacher of physical education in Holbrook during 2016 and has recently taken on the role of Athletic Director for the 2017-2018 school year! Stay tuned for Mr. Case's newsletter which will include important information and dates!
